The business

Clever Orchid is my wife Shirly's custom embroidery business. The work ranges from uniforms for local businesses and medical offices to monogrammed gifts, patches, and one-off pieces, and every job starts with a conversation about fonts, colors, and garments.

That makes the website less of a brochure and more of a front desk. It needs to show the range of work, answer the common questions, and turn interest into a booked consultation without anyone losing track of a lead.

What I built

The site runs on the same Next.js platform as my other client sites. It includes an apparel catalog so customers can pick garments before they call, online booking for consultations, a gallery and reviews synced from the business's Google profile, and a contact form with layered spam filtering that feeds leads into Client Hub.

Service and guide pages are structured around what people in the Columbia area actually search for, with schema markup and analytics wired in from day one.

Beyond the website

A custom-product shop has a requirement a phone plan comparison won't show you: customers need to text photos of logos and designs. Moving the business's calls and messaging meant treating picture messages as essential, not a nice-to-have.

What came of it

Tell me what's slowing the business down.

Describe the problem in plain terms. I read every message myself and reply when there's something I can genuinely help with.
